Have a cup of tea.

I love peach tea (herbal, of course). I love the scent and taste of it, especially after the addition of a tablespoon (or two) of honey. I love honey. It's something Winnie the Pooh and I have in common.

The past few nights I've been sitting down to either the Bible or the computer to do some reading with a nice, hot cup of tea, surrounded by blissful silence. Tonight I got to enjoy it with my husband, although his choice was chamomile. With only the warm glow of the light over the kitchen sink, we sipped our tea after the kids went to bed. Raia had fallen asleep as she lay on top of George on the couch while we watched The Incredibles and munched on Kettle Corn, and Errol fell asleep when I tucked him into bed after the movie, laying his little head on the picture of Thomas the Tank Engine that's on his pillow (Sometimes he'll ask me to lay his head on James so that there's room for me to lay my head on Percy, but if he doesn't want me to lay down next to him then he wants his head put on Thomas, who's between them). Patrick fell asleep in his bouncer, swaddled in his blankie with the rubber duckies.

I love the after-bedtime silence, and it doesn't matter how tired I am, I always take a few minutes to enjoy it. Sipping my cup of tea.
